Description

Another shot that I took 3 weeks ago from hazy La Palma island was this 2-panel in combined H-alpha and RGB of the Rho Ophiuchi region. Upon reviewing the shots on the back of the camera, I was surprised to find the comet, which I had heard a bit about in the news but never really paid attention to! I love how it hovers above and contrasts well with the blood red emission nebula Sharpless 2-27, usually very faint and invisible to the unaided eye.

As mentioned, the sky was quite hazy (Calima for those who know) so I didn't get as clean data as I'd hoped. The result is a bit noisy due to the haze and the relatively short exposure time, but it still remains my best shot of this area to date!
